Radiance Across the Strait — Debut Concert & 'Moon Calling' Exhibition
A Mid-Autumn crossover of sound and sight
The orchestra's debut concert took place on 19 September 2026 at the Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House. Themed around the bright moon and presented alongside the 'Moon Calling' exhibition curated by Chen Min Suen, the programme wove together Nanyang character, Chinese classics and an international outlook: Beijing-based pianist Claudia Yang returned home for the 'Youth' Piano Concerto, tenor Wong Jun Wen sang 'The Red Bean Song' and 'Night of the Prairie', and Composer-in-Residence Simon Kong's 'R&F Princess' — the orchestra's first commission — received its world premiere.
